For the past 15 years or so, I've been playing in a parody rock band that was started by a couple of professors at the Oklahoma State University School of Vet Med. They've been writing parody versions of classic rock tunes to fit their curriculum, and every year we play a big show for all the vet med students. It's a really great time, and I've always enjoyed being a part of the group.
This past summer, one of the founding members retired from the university and the band, and I wanted to do something special for him as a thank you for his friendship and for allowing me to be part of the fun. There was once a time when a company would give you a gold watch at retirement, but that wouldn't have been nearly rock-n-roll enough for Tony, so that's where this guitar comes in.
