Kyle has been watching my career as a guitar builder since I started, and he loved the idea of owning something built with a family history. His time finally came, and he knew exactly what wood he wanted his gem to be built from. His family is from Missouri, and his dad happened to have tons of board feet of walnut that was cut from his grandfather's property about 30 years ago. Since walnut is such a heavy wood, we knew we'd have to implement some weight reduction by chambering the body extensively. Kyle and I worked together to come up with a build list, and after several long months, his Walnut Wonder was born.
